The investment universe is amazing. The world today offers access to a mind blowing range of investments but basically they can be broken down into four categories - cash, fixed interest, property or shares. Within each category there are a range of options and it is important to understand the strengths and weaknesses of each. It is also important to understand the drivers of each investment and the impact of outside influences of things like inflation, currency movements or interest rate movements on the capital value of each investment.

When we design portfolios for our clients we take all of this into consideration and design a plan specifically for each individual. We know that every person has different goals and so it does not make logical sense that an "off-the-shelf" approach to investing works for everyone.
